Overview

The AI SIF (Serious Injury and Fatality) Precursor Detection Reports are a powerful tool designed to enhance workplace safety by identifying potential risks before they lead to serious incidents. This feature leverages advanced AI algorithms to scan submitted forms such as incident reports, quality events, and work observations and rate their likelihood to be a SIF Precursor on a 1-10. These precursors are conditions or behaviors that, if left unaddressed, could escalate into serious safety events.

Key Highlights

  • Scans forms for potential SIF precursors without manual intervention.
  • Allows administrators to set thresholds for identifying high-risk forms.
  • Provide detailed reasons for each SIF precursor detection.
  • Reports can be explored by month, business entity, and individual forms.
  • Administrators can define and adjust rules for SIF detection based on organizational needs.

Use Case

A safety officer reviews incident reports and uses SIF Precursor Detection Reports to identify patterns or conditions that, if not addressed, could lead to significant injuries.

Using AI SIF Precursor Detection Reports

PREREQUISITE: Users must have the “Copilot AI - SIF Precursor Analysis” site setting enabled for the supported form.

PREREQUISITE: Users must have the SIF Precursor Copilot Analysis - Access  role enabled to access SIF Precursor Detention Analysis Reports.

In order to use AI SIF Precursor Detection Reports:

  1. Start by defining the rules: System administrators set the SIF precursor detection rules within the Copilot Data Analysis settings.
  2. Access Reports, navigate Copilot reports, and choose one of the SIF Detection reports.
  3. Adjust the minimum SIF precursor rating threshold to filter the forms you want to review.A screenshot of a graph

System Administrators can define the rules the AI SIF Precursor Detection Reports will evaluate against to detect SIF Precursors.

Access the Copilot Data Analysis settings

In order to access the Copilot Data Analysis Settings:

  1. Select Administration from the Navigation Menu
  2. Select Copilot Data Analysis under the Site Owner tab
  3. Define the Form-level SIF Precursor analysis rules for each form

NOTE: The system is provided with default rule definitions for each area. System Administrators have the ability to modify existing rules and add new rules.
